Maintenance

What it is

I work with several clients with established gardens that I help maintain throughout the growing season. I’m also available to help maintain gardens I’ve designed and/or installed for new clients.

My maintenance services include:

  • weeding garden beds

  • pruning shrubs and perennials

  • regularly assessing plants’ health

  • spring and fall cleanup of garden beds

  • planting and refreshing planters and pots throughout the season

  • other tasks as necessary to maintain gardens in beauty and good health

My maintenance services do not include:

  • mowing and other forms of lawn care

  • tree maintenance

  • mulching (it’s simply too time-consuming! I can recommend others to help with mulching who are more efficient at this task)

How it works

  1. I meet with new clients interested in maintenance to determine whether the property is a good fit for my services

  2. We agree on a regular interval of visits from April to November

  3. I communicate with clients throughout the year as needed about things that come up

Maintenance can vary widely depending on each clients’ needs. Some clients just need a little weeding and pruning once a month, while others benefit from bi-weekly or weekly visits.

What it costs

I charge $75 an hour for maintenance services. For regular maintenance clients, I send an invoice at the end of each month.
