Advising

What it is

I work with clients who are interested in learning how to best maintain, grow, and edit their gardens themselves.

With an advising session, I can help you:

  • identify what you already have in your yard

  • teach you how to care for perennials and shrubs

  • provide lists of plants that would do well in particular areas

  • identify places to incorporate native plantings

  • brainstorm solutions to problem areas

  • show you how to expand and shape garden beds

  • show you where to get rid of things and what to keep

  • teach you how to eradicate invasive weeds

  • answer any questions you have!

How it works

  1. Contact me to set up a time to meet. We can video chat or meet in-person in your yard.

  2. I spend an hour with you discussing any of the topics you want to prioritize.

  3. I write up and send you follow-up notes about the things we discussed including links to further information and/or lists of plants I suggest for particular areas.

I also offer a package of four advising visits for those who are interested in garden coaching throughout the year. This can be a good fit for a client who wants to learn how to maintain their garden as it changes from March to November.

What it costs

Each one-hour advising visit (and follow up notes) is $150. I’ll send you an invoice following our session.

Each package of four advising visits is $500. I’ll send you an invoice for the package after our first session.
